How to obtain a South African Passport?
South African Passports are issued by the Department of Home Affairs and all applications must be done in person I.e. Nobody can apply on behalf of somebody else for a passport with the exception of the parents or a guardian.
The only way a third party can assist is by queuing on a client behalf and collecting the passport.
Temporary Passports? It is now possible to obtain temporary passports the same day as the application is done.
We do not assist with passport renewals until further notice and the following is just as information.
The Process.
• Download the necessary documents.
• Obtain 2 passport photos
• Make copies of your ID and Passport(If Renewal)
• If you lost your passport or had it stolen make a sworn avadavat.
• If you are married and your ID is still in your maiden name, make a copy of your marriage certificate.
• If you need a Temporary Passport all documentation are done in duplicate.
• If the application is for a child 16 and younger both parents have to be present and the following additional documents are needed: Marriage certificate and Birth Certificate. Children between 16 and 21 the child's ID must be presented.
